Meaning 

Profit is characterized as the financial gain realized when total revenue exceeds total expenses. Essentially, profit encapsulates the monetary amount retained after all costs have been accounted for.


Example : 

For example, if a retail shop generates ₹1,00,000 in sales and incurs expenses of ₹70,000, the resulting profit is ₹30,000. Similarly, if an individual purchases gold for ₹50,000 and subsequently sells it for ₹60,000, the profit realized is ₹10,000.
